Hello –

This will be the last review post of the new Debt Cures 2 book from Kevin Trudeau.

If you have already not decided about whether you want to buy the book or not after the past six review posts than anything else I say won’t sway you one way or the other.

I don’t make any commissions from promoting the Debt Cures 2 book.

I do have my own copy of the book along with his new Free Money book.
What a
So with that said let’s start with chapter 21 which is about bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy can be a good option for people to try and get a fresh start — if you can get Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy is not in your best interests though. The credit card companies have rigged the bankruptcy system in their favor and from all I’ve read and Debt Cures 1 and Debt Cures 2 and all the other books out there this is true.

Kevin Trudeau talks about people over age 55 being the one of the fastest growing groups filing for bankruptcy these days.

And this is kind of sad. People are supposed to be preparing for retirement instead of going through one of the worst financial crises of their lives.

He talks about why it may be for you through no fault of your own.

If you are insolvent bankruptcy may be for you. But it’s on the record for at least 10 years. Make sure you look at all the other options before you go down this route. Make sure you especially take a look at debt settlement before you decide on bankruptcy.

Chapter 22 is about free money.

This is probably everyone’s favorite chapters.

He offers a new site to learn about over $400 billion in government grants.

You answer a survey of 46 questions in 5 to 10 minutes and find out what you were eligible for.

This chapter has more sites than in the previous Debt Cures book.

He offers sites and telephone numbers to possibly save you money on your bills. There are many government assistance programs out there. They are making it easier and easier to find out about them and apply for them.

But you have to take action on this information.

Approximately 1,000,000 people get money every year from the government. You will not get any if you don’t apply.

Here is an interesting tip: you don’t like lawyers and lawsuits but they may be one source of free money from class-action lawsuits.

And it’s true because in the past I’ve actually received a very small amount of money through a class-action lawsuit, I believe it was from an Allstate insurance settlement.

Chapter 23 is more money from Uncle Sam and others.

Did you know there is over $15 billion in unclaimed money? Have you searched your name and your relatives? I found some money was owed to me. Maybe there is some out there for you.

Trudeau has several pages about tax credits available to you from the government. This is good information compiled all in one location.

You may know about the earned income credit, but do you know about the advanced earned income tax credit? You can get the money in your paycheck now instead of when you file your tax returns.

There is also free money for emergencies, this is a good tip for those unexpected emergencies.

There is some free money for students who want to travel overseas and also learn languages deemed important to national security.

This information is expanded more than the first Debt Cures book was. This is good information if you use it. It’s just another resource that makes the book a good deal.

Chapter 24 is called more breaking news.

He has some last-minute details about the evil credit card companies.

He urges you to write your people in Congress and complain about the credit card industry.

It mentions some of the new credit card Bill of Rights that goes into effect this February. This is finally some good news for us consumers.

Chapter 25 is called final cures.

This is basically a summary of the book. A recap of all the knowledge Kevin Trudeau has shared with you. This is good because you may have forgotten some things you learned. And of course he does not leave you without a final call to subscribe to the monthly Debt Cures newsletter.

Then he has a sneak peek of Kevin’s Free Money book.

He gives you a list of foundations that give free money and assistance.

Free money-saving sites.

In the appendix is listings of the statute of limitations which you can easily find online.

So that’s my reviews of the new Debt Cures 2 book.

Overall I would give it a solid B.

It has more information than the original Debt Cures book.

You can buy it online for $19.95 plus shipping and handling. It has not reached Amazon yet.

Thank you for reading my reviews. Your comments and feedback are welcome.

Have a great day,

– Adam

Hello –

Today, I will continue money book review of Kevin Trudeau’s latest offering in “Debt Cures They Really Don’t Want You to Know About.” I’ve been going chapter by chapter offering a short review and saying what’s good and bad about what Kevin is saying in each chapter.

We left off on chapter 12 which is called credit card magic words. This chapter has more information about negotiating with your creditors. He says you need to make demands instead of just politely asking for a fee to be removed. They make billions of dollars a year in fees because we are not watching our credit card statements closely enough and calling to get them removed when we notice them.

Kevin offers a seven magic word sentence to possibly save you thousands on many transactions that come up every year. So what are the credit card magic words? You’ll have to buy the book.

Just kidding.

“Is that the best you can do?”

He also offers “would you be willing?”

Never be afraid of asking your creditor for something. Either to remove a late fee, lower your interest rate, give you another month to pay, delete something from your account, or taking a lower payment.

If you don’t get the answer you want callback another day and chances are you just might. And that’ll save you almost $40 right there.

Chapter 13: $10,000 right away.

KT gives you 10 ways to $10,000 in 24 hours or less.

He has a dozen or so ideas about how to raise money quickly. There is no actual how to do it step-by-step but just the main idea. There are dozens of other books that can help you with the step-by-step information.

Some of the ways include selling on eBay, selling your car, using craigslist, and selling your unwanted or broken jewelry or gold for cash.

Chapter 14: credit schmedit.

In this chapter he talks about the new credit regulations and how they benefit consumers.

He also gives us more stories about how the credit card companies can take advantage of us and raise our interest rates for no reason whatsoever.

There’s also an interesting story he mentions, a bankruptcy study done by Elizabeth Warren.

Here’s a quote:

“(The study) suggests that people who fall into serious debt tend to do so because of a harsh roll of the dice — job loss, illness, divorce — and not profilgate spending.”

People are using credit just to get by. I did this when my kids were young. I charged groceries because I didn’t earn enough to pay all the bills.

So you may be deep in credit card debt through no fault of your own but that does not stop the credit card companies from kicking you when you are down, raising your interest rates, and charging outrageous late fees and over limit fees.

You can use the information in this new Debt Cures book to help you fight back against your creditors.

Chapter 15: ways to pay.

In this chapter you will find different methods of paying off your credit card debt. Some of the methods covered include starting with the highest balance, a different version of the debt snowball, debt negotiation and settlement, and using your home equity.

This information is very similar to what’s covered in the original Debt Cures book.

Debt settlement and debt negotiation can be very effective at reducing and eliminating your unsecured credit card debt the best part is you can do it all by yourself and not use a debt settlement company.

In a matter of 6 to 18 months you could get rid of all your credit card debt and pay as little as 20% of the outstanding balance to get it settled.

There are several books and courses that teach you how to do it yourself debt settlement but the best one I have found is called Zipdebt. You can also get personal coaching to walk you through the entire process of settling your credit card debts.

We’ll end this part of the review of Debt Cures and start up next time on chapter 16.

Let me know what you think,

Hello -

Today, I will continue my review of Kevin Trudeau’s new book Debt Cures 2 starting with chapter 7: 30 days to improved credit. In this chapter Kevin offers several tips to help you improve your credit by gaming the credit report system. There is good practical information in here if you choose to use it. This is where Kevin offers you more “magic words” to help you with your credit.

The magic words in this chapter are “file disputes.” Filing disputes with the credit reporting agencies he says is one way to clean up your credit in a short period of time if you need to apply for a loan or credit card.

There’s several pages of useful tips but this is similar to what you will find in the original Debt Cures book.

There is a lot of common sense advice like check your credit reports and credit scores regularly. You will also learn about the major credit score factors and the impact of a low credit score on your finances.

Kevin spends a couple pages on advice like paying more than than the minimum due each month on your credit cards.

A lot of people would be able to heed that advice if they could afford more than the minimums. People are just struggling to make the minimums or pay it a few days late because they don’t have the cash then they resort to payday loans to make ends meet and it’s a downward spiral from there.

Moving on to chapter 8. New information on the new credit score formula. Have you heard about the new FICO O8 score? FICO 08 is the updated credit score formula that takes into account new scoring factors or gives different weight to previous scoring factors that make up your FICO credit score.

Your credit limit is now more important and the credit card companies are cutting credit limits before the new credit card bill of rights comes into effect so this is good info to have.

Make sure you do not use more than 30% of which you owe on each card.

Do not close old accounts.

Another change is collection accounts under $100. This information will now be disregarded and will not lower your credit score.

There’s useful information in this chapter that can easily pay for the cost of the book.

Chapter 9 is called magic works. This is a short chapter which is basically a rehash of information included in the original Debt Cures book. You will learn about the statute of limitations again. You will learn how to deal with debt collectors. And you’ll learn how to deal with old debts.

This is a longer version of what was in “Debt Cures They Don’t Want You To Know About” about eliminating credit card debt using the statute of limitations.

Chapter 10 is called more magic.

Kevin spends a whole chapter retelling the story about the two magic words in the original book – identity theft.

Since one of the most common things people wanted to know about was the two magic words in Debt Cures, KT spends a lot of time on that taking more phrases and calling them “magic words.”

So with that said let’s continue on to chapter 11: medical magic words.

Kevin offers “magic words” to have an easier time of dealing with insurance companies.

If you don’t ask for something you never stand a chance of getting it. Trudeau says negotiate with your doctor if you’re without Health Insurance and you’re the one paying the bill.

His magic word is: ASK!

This is America and everything is negotiable. Comparison shop your doctors and ASK!

He spends a few more pages talking about how to get cheap or free Health Insurance for you or your kids, COBRA, how to get low cost prescription drugs, companies that offer benefits to part time workers, how to get Health Care through a free clinic, and how to get Medical Financial assistance if you have certain diseases.

So that takes us to chapter 12: credit card magic words where we will pick up next time.

Let me know what you think. Is this book review helpful to you? Share your thoughts and experiences.

Thank you,

Hello –

I finished reading my copy of Debt Cures II and now I want to start providing reviews chapter by chapter so you can make an informed decision. If you want the super short cliff notes version: buy the book. I was very critical of the book and compared it to the original Debt Cures book and even though there is some overlap, this new book provides new and updated information that can help you save your home, find free money, and get out of debt.

So with that said let’s go into the longer version.

Kevin Trudeau says he is not an expert so why should you listen to him or what he says? How can Kevin give you ways to get out of debt if he says himself is not an expert? But what is an expert exactly? An expert is someone who knows more specialized information about a topic than most other people. And since Kevin has now written four books about getting out of debt and getting free money he has become an expert. He also has a team of researchers and writers that helped him write these books.

KT calls this book the bailout edition of Debt Cures and not a repeat of the original Debt Cures book. He talks about how the banks and credit card companies received billions of dollars in free government money but what did we get? We got higher interest rates, lower credit limits, and higher fees.

Do you want to be rich? Trudeau does and admits it early in the book. He says he wants to be rich. Selling millions of copies of his own books to desperate folks like us who want his secrets can get you there pretty quick. Somebody will say he is getting rich by scamming millions of people by hitting them with unwanted charges to their credit card or savings accounts each month.

But he says we should all want to be the same. We should all want to be debt free and wealthy.

Maybe that’s why he has Playboy models on his shows trying to get our attention to sell more of his books. It got my attention when I was flipping through the channels.

Here’s the key phrase of the book: knowledge is power.

The more you know the more you can fight back against the credit card companies, banks, mortgage lenders, and the federal government.

KT’s goal is to provide you with as much knowledge as possible or as much ammunition as possible to fight.

But you actually have to take the time to read this book and turn off the TV or YouTube or get off of Facebook for a few minutes to improve your lot in life.

“Lack of money is the root of all evil”

I would agree with the statement in the book.

KT is trying to help you have more money by paying off your debts quicker. He also wants you to make more money. It’s okay for him to make money helping you get out of debt and make more money.

Nothing he is teaching is hard or complicated. You don’t need an advanced college degree to put into use anything you learn in this book. He says all you need to do is follow the steps outlined in the chapters and you can get out of debt and start making money.

What you will get from Debt Cures 2 is a new awareness to what is going on in the lending industry and government. Your eyes will be opened to what is going on. No more will the big institutions get away with stealing your money.

There is a suggestion to buy this book for college kids so they won’t say “I wish I had known this sooner.” Anything that prepares college students for the real financial world out there is a good idea.

Trudeau then provides a few testimonials from happy customers and how they ordered the book even though there was lots of negative press and publicity about his previous books and Trudeau himself. Trudeau spins this and says he is the most hated guy in corporate America. There are plenty of customers who feel they have gotten scammed ordering his books. This is due to a lot of the backend stuff that gets sold over the phone late at night when you’re tired and not truly paying attention to what the representative is telling you.

A lot of this frustration can be avoided by ordering the book online.

So that takes care of the first two chapters of Debt Cures 2 They Really Don’t Want You to Know About.

If you cannot find something to help you save at least $30 in Debt Cures II then you are not trying hard enough. You waste so much money on other so-called necessities that buying a book like this for $30 is a no-brainer.

How much have you wasted in the past month on iTunes, iPhone apps, junk food?

This book is worth it if you use it. I give it a thumbs up. Buy it and use it.

Let me know what you think or have a review to contribute and I will post it here.

Thanks for reading.

Have a great day,
